Foundations
For people learning the movements, building confidence, or needing a simpler version of the workout.
EPPIC Fitness
EPPIC Fitness is a coached fitness community where every workout meets you at your level and helps you build from there.
Start where you are. Train with support. Build strength, conditioning, confidence, and long-term health.
Strength is earned.
Start Where You Are
Every member starts from a different place. Some people are brand new to training. Some are returning after time away. Some are experienced and want harder workouts, better coaching, and more structure.
At EPPIC, the workout is coached so each person has the right version for their current level.
“The goal is to train consistently, move well, build strength, improve conditioning, and become healthier over time.”
Learn the movements, build confidence, and develop a safe foundation.
Rebuild strength, stamina, and consistency without being thrown in too fast.
Train hard with clear standards, coaching, intensity, and progression.
Workout of the Day
EPPIC classes are built around a coached Workout of the Day. The class shares the same workout goal, but the coach helps each person choose the right movement, weight, pace, and volume for their current level.
You may be training beside someone doing a different version than you. That is the point. Everyone is working toward the same training purpose: moving well, working hard with control, and building fitness that lasts.
For people learning the movements, building confidence, or needing a simpler version of the workout.
For members training the same workout goal with adjusted weight, reps, movement, pace, or volume.
The prescribed version of the workout. RX is a target standard, not the starting point.
The Five Pillars
Build stamina, aerobic capacity, and the ability to keep moving.
Intervals / pacing / longer effortsDevelop strength, explosiveness, and confidence under load.
Strength / lifting / explosive workImprove movement quality, skill, speed, and execution.
Technique / skill / standardsTrain effort, grit, and the ability to work hard with purpose.
Effort / stimulus / intentBuild the engine for recovery, capacity, and real-world fitness.
Mixed modal / recovery / capacityHow Class Works
Every class has structure, coaching, and a clear purpose. You are not left to figure it out alone.
The coach explains the goal, movements, intended effort, and how the workout should feel.
Class starts with movement prep, skill work, strength work, or specific practice for the day.
The coach helps you scale the workout so it fits your ability, experience, and current capacity.
Everyone trains together with coaching, accountability, and encouragement.
Progress comes from consistency, better movement, stronger capacity, and showing up again.

Local Community. Real Coaching.
EPPIC is a local coaching environment, not an anonymous workout room. The coaches know the people in class, help them move well, and guide them toward long-term health.
You will find people working hard, scaling when needed, encouraging each other, and building confidence through consistent training.
Guidance is part of the class, not an add-on.
A supportive environment where effort matters more than ego.
Strength, stamina, confidence, and resilience built through consistent training.
Coaches
Different backgrounds, same standard: clear coaching, safe movement, and the right version for the person in front of them.
L2 Coach / Strength development
Joel brings 12 years of functional fitness experience and 7 years of coaching to EPPIC. He helps athletes build confidence, move past the limits they often place on themselves, and see what they are capable of with consistent coaching.
His strength knowledge shows up in the fundamentals: deadlifts, squats, presses, and the technical details that make people stronger under load. Add a sharp sense of style and hip-hop-heavy playlists, and Joel brings a clear vibe to every class.
Intensity / Beginner coaching
Sean first tried functional fitness in 2012 and began coaching in 2018. His favourite part of class is the intensity that comes from training alongside other athletes and sharing the push of a hard workout.
He loves teaching beginner athletes, especially the ones ready to listen, learn, and put the work in. When the weather is good, he is probably on the golf course, but in class he wants to help people move well, push with purpose, and set a new PR.
Gymnastics / Morning hype
Terrany has been in and around functional fitness since 2018, always finding her way back to the training style. After earning her Level 1 in 2025, she started coaching at EPPIC Fitness in 2026.
She may complain about workouts like it is part of the job, but cheering people on is the real one. Her goal is to help people get through the workout, keep moving well, and realize it may not have been that bad after all.
Gymnastics is her favourite movement, while burpees, the bike, rowing, wall balls, and thrusters are all firmly on the other list. Her coaching is supportive, detail-oriented, and full of practical tips so athletes feel confident every step of the way. She usually coaches 5:30-7:30 a.m.; not a morning person, but willing to wake up early for the class.
Movement health / Quality of life
A registered massage therapist, business owner, and dedicated athlete, she sees movement as one of the most powerful tools for improving health and quality of life.
Coaching lets her connect clinical knowledge with training, continue learning, and help others find the same support and community that shaped her own fitness journey. She also stands by the belief that Sour Patch Kids before a workout make her stronger and faster.
Friday night coach / Movement standards
Mark started his fitness journey at 15, using running and nutrition to lose more than 100 pounds. After years of weight regain and setbacks, he found the missing piece in coached functional training: consistency, community, and purpose.
He has coached Friday nights for the past three years and is known for a sharp eye, clear standards, and a balance of encouragement and accountability. His goal is to help athletes find the confidence, structure, and joy training gave him. He is also the reigning two-time Beer Mile Champion.
Endurance / Community energy
Alex has been training at this style of fitness for three years and loves anything active, endurance based, and challenging enough to learn from.
She brings a steady, encouraging presence to class, helping people make connections, cheer each other on, and keep showing up for the next step.
Performance / Quality movement
Nicola has been coaching at the gym for almost two years and brings a lifelong background in athletics and performance. She competed in jump rope as a kid, earned a spot at her first World Championships at 12, and later spent six years rowing through high school and varsity university under an Olympic gold medalist coach.
Her coaching is built around quality over quantity: move well, build strength, stay consistent, and carry that progress into goals inside and outside the gym. Outside EPPIC, Nicola has worked in healthcare since 19, first as a paramedic and now as an ER Registered Nurse. She is also an adventure seeker who has skydived, tried bobsled piloting, traveled to over 30 countries, and explored the outdoors with her dog, Ellie.
Gymnastics / Skill development
I’ve been coaching CrossFit since 2023, with a special passion for gymnastics and all the technical details that make movements more efficient, effective, and fun to learn. Whether it’s helping athletes master their first pull-up, clean up their handstand walk, or finally understand why a movement feels awkward, I enjoy breaking skills down into simple, manageable steps.
As an active competitor myself, I know firsthand what it’s like to chase goals, celebrate PRs, and occasionally question life choices halfway through a workout. That experience helps me connect with athletes at every stage of their fitness journey.
I’m a big believer that progress happens in the details, which means I’m always ready to prescribe accessory work—sometimes even when you were hoping I’d forget. My coaching style focuses on building strong fundamentals, improving movement quality, and creating confidence both inside and outside the gym. My goal is to help athletes move better, perform better, and maybe even learn to love those extra drills I keep assigning.
Strength that lasts
Christine has spent more than 13 years in health and fitness and brings both professional knowledge and lived experience to her coaching. She is BCRPA certified and a Level 1 Trainer who understands weight loss, injury recovery, motherhood, and the challenge of making fitness fit real life.
She is passionate about helping people build lasting strength and confidence. Outside the gym she is usually mountain biking, hiking, paddle boarding, dancing, or getting outdoors with her very energetic dog. At EPPIC, she is known for bringing extra energy through jokes, singing, and the occasional mid-workout dance move.
